Free Medicine for Those Who Cannot Afford It
Civil Hospital Askordas — one of the government facilities we work through in Nagar Valley.
In the villages of Nagar Valley — Shayar, Askurdas, Sumayar, Nagar Khaas, and Hoper — the nearest properly equipped hospital is a two-hour journey away. For families with little income, even when a doctor is available, the medicines they prescribe are often not.
Taskeen closes that gap. Working in partnership with government-run hospitals, their Medical Officers, and dispensers, we provide free medicines to patients who cannot afford them.

Accountability built in
Every single distribution is recorded in a detailed patient log, maintained together with government Medical Officers and dispensers. We know exactly who was reached, with what medicine, and when — and so do our government partners. It’s how we make sure help goes where it’s needed, every time.

A Computer Lab for the Students of Thole, Nagar Khaas
The students of Sunrise Public School — the reason this project exists.
Sunrise Public School is a community-run primary and middle school in Thole, Nagar Khaas. Its students are bright, eager, and completely cut off from the digital world — no computers, no digital literacy, no pathway to the opportunities that other children take for granted.
In 2022, Taskeen and the community decided to change that. Together, we broke ground on a purpose-built computer lab beside the school.
April 2022 — breaking ground on the computer lab at Sunrise Public School.
Built by the community, for the community — local hands raised every wall.
Even the furniture is local — every desk was made by carpenters in the valley.
The lab today: built, furnished, and ready. All that’s missing are the laptops and reliable power.

Grid electricity in Nagar Valley is unreliable, with frequent and long outages. Without a dependable power source — ideally solar with battery storage — a room full of laptops cannot serve students consistently. This final piece is what turns a finished room into a working classroom.
